01 / MY BACKGROUND
A different route into real estate
Before real estate, I worked across music, advertising, journalism and film production. On the advertising side, I worked with Nike Hockey, Nike Basketball, Miller Genuine Draft and Universal Music. I created music videos for artists including French Montana, Royce da 5’9” and T.I. As a musician, I toured, amassed millions of streams and YouTube plays, and received MMVA, JUNO and WCMA nominations.
Across that work, I developed a keen sense for trends and narrative: what gets attention, how a story takes shape, and which questions deserve a closer look. That perspective matters in real estate. Buyers encounter persuasive stories about markets, neighbourhoods and new developments. I want to help you understand what’s behind the story and what it means for your decision.
02 / THE CHANGE
Why I made the move
During the pandemic, my journalism drew me deeper into questions about monetary policy, inequality and people’s ability to get ahead. Housing and access to ownership became a central part of that work.
I wanted to do something practical with what I was learning. I studied real estate at UBC, earned my licence, and began learning the industry from the inside. That gave me a way to work directly with people trying to find their footing in this market: explaining their options, helping them ask better questions, and building a plan around their circumstances.
03 / MY PERSPECTIVE
A David-and-Goliath mindset
I’ve always had a David-and-Goliath mindset, largely shaped by my faith in Christ. I consider myself the Robin Hood of Vancouver real estate.
For me, that means helping people understand a market that can feel out of reach and opening doors they may not know exist. It means sharing what I know, being selective about what I recommend, and being willing to tell someone to wait when buying doesn’t make sense for them. I want people who haven’t inherited wealth or grown up around property to have someone in their corner who will explain things clearly.
04 / IN YOUR CORNER
The whole journey
With Origin Group and Real Broker B.C. Ltd., my team and I connect the search with the whole purchase journey in the Lower Mainland: initial clarity, public and developer options, due diligence, negotiation, financing and moving.
Trusted mortgage brokers, private lenders, contractors and movers can be brought into the process as needed. I recommend professionals I trust from experience. I don’t receive referral compensation from those providers.
I’m selective about the opportunities I recommend. Developer relationships and team access can help us explore unadvertised inventory and negotiated opportunities. Availability and terms need confirmation; unadvertised does not mean exclusive or guaranteed to be discounted.
My WhatsApp group is curated and read-only: only my team and I post. I personally welcome new members, learn what they’re looking for and share matched opportunities. When you’re ready, the next step is working with me or an associate.

Why I wrote Own Something and Be Happy

I wrote Own Something and Be Happy to turn what I’d learned through journalism and real estate education into something people could use.
The book explores the forces shaping B.C.’s housing market, different routes into ownership, and the incentives, risks and conflicts of interest buyers should understand. It tackles questions about commissions, borrowing, and the decision to buy or keep waiting.
My goal was to give people a clearer starting point: understand more, ask better questions, and make a more informed decision about their future. It’s also an introduction to how I think, before we ever have a conversation.
